Hello,

We have the opportunity to buy a used Kuka 150 série2000, with the KRC2, for a ridiculous price.
It is from 2004.
Before going any further, we would like to know if it is a good idea to start experimenting with this one (we don't have any experience in robotic arms, but do have in more general cnc (3-5axis, water jet, laser, ...).
Is it just spending cash on a pile of steel, or is it usually sturdy enough to go for many more years?
We haven't checked it yet, but will eventually if we can get some positive feedback on this kind of arm.

Second question, how easy/difficult is it to integrate end-effectors?
For a starter, something like a spindle or a gripper?

Third, if we understand correctly, Kuka/prc can drive this old version of the arm. Is that correct?

Last, how do you interface this arm with a computer? (old KRC2) We have yet to dive properly in the manuals, but some initial light from experienced people always helps.

Thank you for the information

Nico
