[Solved] SYS-X44 and X48 error

This is not related to KUKA PRC, but i'm hoping someone can still give me some pointers.
Started up the robot today, and was greeted with a bunch of error, the robot refuses to move due to these errors generating a safety stop.
as ssen in the attachment below, the errors are:
SYS-X44 no network response
SYS-X48 SION-S is not connected to bus

There is EK1100 installed, but none of the lights are on, it was working a few weeks before.
I've also included the workvisual configurations.

Is there something i can do to fix the error? or Do i have to replace parts?

Let's start with the power supply, ideally it's just that. First, disconnect the controller from power.
Judging from the blue cables, the robot came with the EK1100 so that its power is taken from inside the cabinet. Follow the cables and make sure that none of them are broken.
My best guess would be that some external device caused a short, which blew a fuse in the cabinet. Usually the robot should come with a small transparent bag of fuses, those color-coded two-pin jumpers on the board. They might be similar to fuses used in cars as well.
Either try to understand the schematics, or just go through all fuses in the vicinity (might be quicker).

Pull out a fuse and either just try to look inside, or ideally measure with a multimeter if the two pins are connected (good) or not (bad).
Switching the fuse won't help if the reason for the problem is still there, so disconnect all external devices connected to the EK1100 if possible before putting the power back on.

Hopefully with the power back on the robot will work properly again. The instructions above assume that you are qualified to do these kind of procedures, of course.

Hi Johannes,

Thanks for the quick reply, went thru and checked the fuses, indeed a few was blown.
I've found the spares, but none of the colours seems to match the ones preinstalled, tho the number written on them are the same.

just wondering if you know if the color matters, or if just the numbers written on them?

Hello,

Actually the colors should be standardized, see e.g. here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fuse_(automotive)
But maybe that's different depending on the region you are in.
Personally I'd assume that them having the same number is fine, but I haven't come across that situation yet, where colors and numbers don't match.

Hi Johannes,

Color doesn't seem to matter as long as the numbers match, up and running fine now, thanks for your help, much appreciated.
The short was caused by mouse chewing thru wires to an external device (I'll check the wiring before startup from now on, that really scared me).

Just FYI, I've attached a photo of the color differences, one that looks like orange is the spare.
The two fuses are of different construction, so I guess it's just color difference between different manufacture.
