Title: circular move
Post by: francis on May 20, 2016, 11:13:36 PM
Hi Johannes
I don't understand the output of the circular movement component : for a simple movement defined with 3 planes, it outputs a LIN move (item 0) and the CIR  move (item 1) ; works well when i cull LIN moves
Can you explain ??

Hello Francis,

If you take a look at the definition of a circular movement, you see that it does not define a starting point, but only continues from the robot's current position with an arc. Therefore if you place an arc somewhere in space, you need to define the startpoint as well.
However, the most current PRC version actually deletes unneeded LIN movements from the KRL output.

Best,
Johannes

Hello Francis,
That should be the most recent one: http://forum.robotsinarchitecture.org/index.php/topic,279.0.html
It will not change anything on the Grasshopper side, only optimize the code output, so take a look at your KRL file.

Best,
Johannes

yes that's right, I was looking in the panel, not in in the KRL code !
Thanks again
