Title: Is there a way to define a custom robot?
Post by: bringley on December 13, 2016, 04:27:22 PM
I was hoping to program a KR120 R2500 but KUKAprc only has a KR120 R1800.

Please advise!

Best,
Brian

Hello Brian,

The Quantec nano series is part of the member version of KUKA|prc, they use them for example at Tongji University.
I can send you a temporary license, please just get in touch via eMail (johannes@robotsinarchitecture.org).

Best,
Johannes

Oops, I just noticed that I read your question the wrong way. The KR120 R2500 is of course included in KUKA|prc, also the public version. The Quantecs with 2.5m reach are externally basically identical, so use the "KR 90-270 R2500" component.
And you can create custom robot models with the member version, e.g. if you have got any special attachments on A3.

Johannes

Hi!

I have the same question about KR120-2 P Series 2000. I do not see it in the list of robots in KUKAprc, is there any other robot that I could use instead? or a custom one?

Thank you!

Hello,
The KR120-P is a rather exotic robot, never saw one of those myself. If you have got access to the member version - according to your email that should be possible - then you could put it in as a custom robot as a short-term solution!

Johannes

Oh okay, I shall try to do that then. Thank you so much!

Hey!

I hope its not rude to kinda copy paste the first post in this topic. But

I was hoping to program a KR300 R2500 ultra but KUKAprc only has KR90-270 R2500.

Looking forward for any help!

Best Regards,
Rene

Hello Rene,

Here is a custom robot definition for the ultra version of the robot. Note that you need access to a member version of KUKA|prc to use that file.

Johannes
