Title: Dual External Linear Axes (X, Y)
Post by: zhipeng lin on March 19, 2020, 05:28:30 PM
Hi all
I am working on how to make KUKA move on the liner trail.  the movement includes X-axis, Y-axis and Z-axis. it means I would like kuka can work more far away.
I am confused with the E1-E4. how it works and how to set data for external axes.
if there are tutorial or examples for my reference that would be great!

kind regards.

Hello,

Does that mean that you want to implement a system with three linear axis?
Basically that is possible, however it will be a bit tricky to implement.
E1-E4 are the external axis. For a linear axis you would provide millimeters, for a rotary axis degrees.
If you can specify more closely what you need, I can make an example for you. A sketch would be best.

Best,
Johannes

So that would be two external axis in X and Y?

Hello,

It's relatively straightforward to set up, please see the files below. Note that you need a member version for it to work.

Best,
