Conserving such inheritance is a challenging task that requires:

IEREK seeks to address the complex challenge of conserving architectural heritage through this conference to increase the awareness of how citizens should value and save our heritage more effectively.
This conference is planned to be held on board a Nile cruise between Luxor and Aswan, Egypt. Overlooking the Nile River, these two cities include a considerable percentage of the world's monuments, thereby offering a historic context to the conference.

We are honored to invite you to attend the workshop about Alexandria Urban Sketching which will be held on the time period from 2nd to 4th of April 2015 at IEREK Alexandria, Egypt

Teaching Assistant at Arab Academy for Science and Technology and Maritime Transport.
The main aim of this workshop is to gain an understanding of urban sketching to:
•   Document the Alexandria architectural heritage
•   Learning from the past to make better future
By the following:
1.    Improving freehand sketching abilities.
2.   Becoming more aware of how the sketchbook format can be used in composing an image.
3.   Improving observation ability.
4.   Acquiring new techniques and approaches to urban sketching.
5.   To evaluate which Materials, techniques of freehand sketching will be more useful and effective to document a heritage building.
6.   Learning to record heritage building's basic shapes and window, door, roof and wall details to make a good starting point for the design of new buildings.
