Support / Custom Tool Plane ABC Rotation
July 27, 2023, 04:10:37 PM
I am trying to set up a tool with the custom tool plane. I have set up this script that sets the tool location and does the rotation of A B and C around world Z Y and X respectively. I have compared this set up to the custom tool component and I seem to be getting the same result. My confusion is in the construct plane component, the plane positive Z is in the negative world X which feels counter intuitive to how the tool works in the simulation moving with the robot. Although I have achieved the desired result, I do not understand why.

My plan is to log all my tool data in an excel file and load the values through this script. An alternate version would be a request an option to expose the XYZABC values for the custom tool component instead of having to load them through the dialog box.

You shouldn't need a plugin, you can export an animation straight from grasshopper. If you right click on a slider and click Animate. From there you can set whatever settings like the number of frames or image size. You can use photoshop or an online tool to compile the stills into an animation. You can do this process on the slider that controls the SIM on the prc core component.

Unrelated, but where did you acquire you large milling bit? I sheared the bit we use at work and I am looking for a good supplier. Our previous one is from ricocnc, but I am hoping to find someone with shorter shipping turnaround.

Support / rhinoCam PostProcessor

Hi, I am curious if there is a postprocessor that will output nc code from rhinocam to kuka prc that can be used in the generic NC import component?

I have read a thread from 6 years ago that said only sprutcam has a post processor that works in the generic nc component and fusion works with the fusion import component. https://forum.robotsinarchitecture.org/index.php/topic,237.0.html
