Ok, by entering the values of XYZABC I can see the grey gripper movement.
Currently the X =1800, Z-1500 showing in the 1st picture below:

at 1st when X=0 y=0 z=0 a=0 B=0 c=0 the gripper is located somewhere far from the robot with the gripper tips pointing upwards see picture :

Instead of "pickandplace" I  went for "02_PRCIntro_AxisMovement in TutorialIntro" is much easier.
I imported a gripper:

After importing the gripper select all gripper-->type "join" so the gripper is one piece mesh---> then on Gh--->right click "mesh" -->set one mesh:

The gripper at this point is still not joined to the robot, how do I join them?

thx,

I have changed the robot from Agilus to KR-125-2 in "pickandplace.zip",  how do I change the current tool to my own tool? see pickandplace-gripper.jpg.

Hello Johannes,
Can I use Kuka PRC for Brick laying? I might try this first with Fablab Taiwan sometime soon.
If so, I will join member asap.

I chose an example file called: 1 CURVE 5X MM.MCX-6, the cnc-machine used: MILL 5 - AXIS TABLE - HEAD VERTICAL MM

Is this ok?

Here is a list of the machines supported by mastercam:

Hello Johannes,
I have Mastercam 5 axis and Rhinocam 3 axis + 4th index. I will send you both code from Mastercam and Rhinocam 2.0 pro.

Hello,
I know Kuka PRC works well with Sprutcam but how about other CAM software like Mastercam, Rhinocam, Powermill so on... can Kuka|PRC work with Mastercam or Rhinocam?

thanks,

General Discussion / Re: External axis for member only

Since I had experience with Kuka PRC I think I'm going give it a try.
There are certain things I wish to try not just milling, also Brick laying, do you think you could support this code once I become a member?

thanks,

General Discussion / External axis for member only
August 14, 2014, 06:13:27 PM
Hi Johannes,
You mentioned somewhere in this forum about External axis features are for members only, in this link: http://forum.robotsinarchitecture.org/index.php/topic,25.0.html, in order to use the external axis I have to be a member of the Association for Robots in Architecture, is there any other alternative to become a member?

thanks,
