General Discussion / Re: Running stepper from KRC4

Yes, the UINT's are the ones without corresponding routes. I'm going to see if I can get basic functionality without them.

Very helpful - I had no idea I could pull that menu up for an ethercat component. Thanks!

I had the same issue, so I loaded the DTM files from 2015 and now the 7047 shows up. I was able to add it to the stack in WoV and route most of the I/O (but not all) - amazingly, I'm not getting any X44 errors once pushed to the controller. I'll let you know how this goes...

General Discussion / Running stepper from KRC4

Hi all,

Does anyone have experience running an external stepper from within KRL? I've integrated a Beckhoff EL7047 to run the stepper and will probably start sorting out the process tomorrow. I thought I'd check in to see if anyone has any feedback/advice/etc. about this before I get started as its not something I've ever done before. Many thanks in advance.

General Discussion / Re: Aligning tool end to normal
November 10, 2016, 07:24:55 PM
Many thanks. We will sort out the rest.

We had kept the tool axis information true to what the controller gave us after calibration - I didn't realize we could change that outside of the controller with predictable results!

We need to update the base - we have the object on our positioner which is connected and calibrated to our other kr60. Since all of those values exist in space within this file we have been able to be a bit lazy about that since placing the object where we need works without changing the base system. Not ideal, I know, but a way to quickly prove a few things out before cleaning it up ;-)

Robot cell - sounds great. We will have a look at it and get it going. Thanks for tip!

As always, many thanks for the help!

General Discussion / Aligning tool end to normal

Hi Johannes,

We are having a bit of trouble aligning our tool-tip to the normal of the surface. Any ideas? I've attached two grasshopper files - one that has no attempt at alignment and another that comes close but doesn't quite get it right. Many thanks in advance.

Ah! I see. Thanks.

Did you both use 40mm for the interference fit opening on the aluminum plate?

General Discussion / KUKA spindle

Hi all,

I'm wondering if anyone knows which HSD spindle model is used for the standard KUKA spindle. Any help is appreciated!
